Margaret is a product of Washington, DC, where she played flute in the
Police Boys & Girls Club Band and guitar in a band called Tuscadero,
which allowed her to tour the nation and avoid getting a real job. She has
met both Bill Clinton and Jimmy Walker.

She studied illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design. Her work
has appeared on everything from garden gloves to comics to her own
line of children’s wear, Winter Water Factory.

Today she lives and works in Brooklyn, New York, in a home strategically
located between an Ikea and a cemetery. Her favorite animal is the
warthog and her favorite monkey is her son, Felix. She enjoys fiction
and dumplings. Her crimes include wrecking a moped in Thailand and
opening for Cheap Trick.
